Easter Island is a place striking and mysterious at the same time for many people. With the pass of the time, there have been appearing travel guides, books, movies, comic books, etc...

This is a good way where you can know a little more about Rapa Nui.

Sometimes you can feel is something boring but investigating you can realized that there exist many means where you can get know different countries by a funny way. A well, as you realized, you can find specific information on travel guides that talks about all you need. However, you have to consider that for read a book you need much time (1 or 2 week), and for sites or travel guides you don’t need much time. In fact, you can look the site being on the place you would visit.

As you know Easter Island is located at the vertex of the Polynesia. And it has a very particular history.

When this island was discovered nobody cares about the needs of the population of the island. Then, with the pass of the time the island start to received things from the ‘’CONTI’’ (Rapa Nui people call Chile like that) with the principal needs.  This boat visit de island ones a month.

Later, between XIX century and XX century there do not exist mobilization like taxis, buses, trains or cars to transport people from one place to another. But all of this change at the beginning XXI century. The boat that transport all principal needs started doing another trip of cars, taxi, etc.

Today the boats arrived every day, us the same as the airplanes with in charges and passengers.  Nowadays if you go to the island you can find lot types of mobilization like motorcycle, bicycles, taxis, horses and cars. Although you could not find with horses and cars.

With the new arrived of this new transportation the activities in the island have increased. For example, now you can go to any of the three beaches by horse as long as you like nature. But if you don’t, you can go by car or motorcycle. By this type of transportation you can travel around the entire island and know about all the history like moais and Indians.

Because of this novelty, nowadays the island it has received more tourist of different countries of the world. So as consequence the income of the population of the island has increased because of the augmentation of the tourism. We said that the income of the population is relationated with tourism because Rapa Nui lives of tourism. But when all of these don’t exist, Rapa Nui people live of the fishing until the mobilization started.

Finally if you want to visit the island, you would have all the facilities to move from one place to another. As well you can eat good and if you any emergency or you need something of the principals needs you can find it in the island any problem.

Where it is located? Easter Island is a Chilean island located at the southeaster point of the Polynesia triangle. And is part of the 5th region of Chile called Valparaíso.

The Capital of Easter Island is Hanga Roa and the population of the island is of 5.035 approximate.

The island is one of the main tourist destinations because of the nature and its mysterious culture of Rapa Nui ethnicity, especially their recognized statues called Moai.

The existences of the Moais are all a mystery. Some people say that were ufos, but the truth is that the mystery continues and exist millions of hypothesis.

Where you can find them? These Moais you can find them anywhere during your stay at the island, they are everywhere you go.

On the other hand, a good reason to visit this amazing island is volcanoes because inside them there is a lot of variety of flora, some of these main volcanoes are called “El Poike”, “Mauga Terevaka” and the most important and visit volcano of this island is “Rano Raraku”. It contains a lagoon that is located inside the volcano. It is of fresh water and is three meters maximum of depth.

These three volcanoes are part of the main coves that are part of the surface of the island.

Do you like the combination of sand, sun and water? For  those who love crystal clear water and white sands, there are three different beaches where you can visit. They ate called  Pea, Ovahe and Anakena.

• The first one is located in Hanga Roa at the south of the fishing village. It has a natural pool formed with stones and near this is the cave Ova that is the main attraction of the place. Compared with other beaches of the island, the waves of Pea are the best for surfing, body boarding and swimming.

• Ovahe is located from 30kms of Hanga Roa. This place is surrounded by rocks and red cliffs. Here is a good place to practice snorkelling because it has crystal clear water that let you see a wonderful marine fauna.

• Do you want The last and the most wonderful beach of the island is called Anakena. It is located at 18km from Hanga Roa. It is recognized because of the forest of coconuts trees that is at the back of the beach. Also we can appreciate some Moais that are between the coconuts trees.
